Says that the nation must make changes soon.
In a visit to Colorado, President Biden said that Americans cannot wait any longer to make large investments in clean energy and combat climate change.
“Climate change is here today, not next year or 10 years from now. We have to make changes to slow climate change now, not in 10 years,” he stated. He made his comments after touring a National Renewable Energy Laboratory campus in Colorado, which is home to the National Wind Technology Center.
“We know what’s causing climate change: human activity. This is no longer a subject of debate. Might I add, windmills do not cause cancer,” he said. The wind and battery technology needed to reduce the effects of climate change “are not science fiction,” he said, adding that “extreme weather we’re seeing is only going to come with more frequency and more ferocity.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For the president and his advisors to seek God’s guidance in stewarding the environment.
- For federal scientists and researchers to discern and ascertain with accuracy what human changes are able to impact climate.
- For God’s purposes to be accomplished in the United States.
